The workshop will be held on August 3, from 9:30 am to 4pm in the Alumni Room, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University.
Marks will also give two public lectures. On August 2 from 1:30 to 4pm, he will talk on "The Happy Planet Index: Pathway to 'New Economics'?" based on the book of the same title of which he is the lead author. The Happy Planet Index has been used all over the world as an alternative index to demonstrate the "environmental costs" of wellbeing in affluent societies. The first report on the Happy Planet Index was translated into Thai and published by Suan Nguen Mee Ma social enterprise.
The venue will be Chumphot Pantip auditorium (adjacent to the Faculty of Political Science), also at Chulalongkorn University.
Finally, on August 4 from 9:30 to 10am, Marks will give a presentation on "Wellbeing Indicators: Leading or Mis-leading?" at the same venue as the workshop.
