Framing the Wellbeing Impact Indicators with Mekong Countries partners and Bhutan
Action Research Working Group International Workshop 2015

The Towards Organic Asia Action Research Working Group met in Bangkok during 25-26 February to work on the Wellbeing Framework and indicators. Delegates from 6 countries - Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand and Bhutan; share ideas and discusses the common issues regards to Agriculture Practices and Food Systems.
Key outputs from the workshop are;
participants agreed on the key domains under the Wellbeing Impact Indicators Framework which consists of 9 domains - Time Use, Health, Education, Economy, Governance, Community Vitality, Culture, Environment, and Self-Evaluation
prioritized indicators were formulated and discussed under each domains
agreed common issues among the countries - result in Thailand, Myanmar and Bhutan are interested in the common topic "Farmer Rights, Policy advocacy and knowledge on land - water- soil - labour" and Bhutan, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos's interest in Market models, althernative supply chains and low investment issues.
2015 workplan was presened to working group in order to inform them on the development and planning of programme activities in accordance with goal and objectives.
We hope that the starting point from today will lead to the joint process of working together to promote common understanding and coorperation in Agroecology and social wellbeing in Asia and beyong.
The working group will meet again during the TOA Annual Partner meeting in Vietnam in September 2015.
